In Conversation. A talk show for nerds.

Episode 16. Very female. Disturbingly so.

Do us a solid and write a review on iTunes.

A patent filed by Apple in April of 2009, recently published by the USPTO, reveals what appears to be a concept for an augmented reality game. Specifically, the document seeks to patent a method for two “interactive game devices” to share locational data and track each other in a “real world, interactive game environment.” Using the “interactive game device” — which looks a lot like an iPhone in the diagrams — each player’s real-world actions would be tracked and their positions would be relayed via an icon on the screen.

How Will iOS Apps on the Mac Work?

The whole point of Apple’s success with iOS has been the opposite of “write once, run anywhere”. It’s more like “write a version that is specifically optimized for this particular device”.

7th Guest coming to iOS

OK, so we don’t have jet packs or the ability to vote through our DVRs (you did remember to vote, didn’t you?) but at least you can say this of 2010: A game that once required CD-ROMs to work is now available on your iPhone. Or more specifically, spooky FMV gem The 7th Guest will be available this December on the iOS platform.
