To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., Nintendo invited fans to celebrate with an incredible cake, adorned with recreations of levels from the game. Not only did Mario show up, but so did his creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, and NOA president Reggie Fils-Aime.

Non-Violence in Video Games
You can safely add Fallout: New Vegas to the list of open-world titles which completely endorse the doctrine of complete and total pacifism. NeoGAF user Water_Wendi recently posted a screenshot featuring some braggable statistics after completing the game’s campaign and nearly all of its quests: zero people or creatures were killed during the proceedings.

The Japanese Must Not See Nazi Zombies
Square Enix announced today that some changes have been made to the Japanese localized version ofCall of Duty: Black Ops. All dubbed copies of the PC and console versions will see swastikas replaced with the Iron Cross in zombie mode. Strangely, the subtitled version of the game, which will be releasedprior to the dubbed version, will retain the swastikas.
